A gunman who intended to attack NFL headquarters instead killed four people in a Manhattan office building before taking his own life.
Shane Tamura, 27, of Las Vegas, mistakenly entered the wrong elevator before opening fire in the lobby. Among the victims were NYPD Officer Didarul Islam, Cornell graduate Julia Hyman, Blackstone executive Wesley LePatner, and security guard Aland Etienne. A fifth person was hospitalized.
Tamura left a note claiming he had CTE and blamed the NFL for concealing its dangers. Police are piecing together his cross-country path and investigating how he acquired his weapon.
