A 31-year-old man from Arcadia was arrested Wednesday morning following a violent domestic incident that left a family member injured and significant damage inside a home.
Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jarvis N. Knight after responding to a disturbance on Jackson Hill Road. Knight is facing charges of assault in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, and criminal tampering in the third degree.
According to investigators, Knight struck and knocked over a family member during an altercation, injuring the victim’s right arm. Deputies allege Knight then damaged drywall, pushed over a refrigerator, and pulled multiple kitchen drawers out, spilling their contents across the floor.
Knight was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being transported to the Wayne County Jail. He awaits arraignment in CAP Court at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
