A 17-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated after crashing a pickup truck in the Town of Sennett, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Grant Avenue Road and Mutton Hill Road shortly after midnight on July 8. Investigators determined the pickup crossed into the oncoming lane, struck multiple road signs, and hit a parked vehicle before veering off again and striking a curb.
The teen, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found to be intoxicated. He provided a breath sample showing a blood alcohol content of 0.20%, authorities said. He was processed and released with traffic tickets returnable to Sennett Town Court on July 16.
