Canandaigua man charged with second-degree burglary

A Canandaigua man was arrested Friday after investigators linked him to a burglary that took place earlier this year.

Andrew Tyler Murphy, 45, was taken into custody on July 11 and charged with burglary in the second degree.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Murphy entered a residence in February and stole a PlayStation 5. Deputies arrested him at his home on County Road 16.

Murphy was transported to the Ontario County Jail and held in pre-arraignment detention.

The case was investigated by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
