Interlaken woman charged after child found unsupervised

A Seneca County woman has been charged after a young child was found unsupervised outside a residence in the Village of Interlaken.

Deputies arrested Michelle Liberatore, 41, of Lakeview Street, on July 3 for endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. The charge follows a June 9 investigation into a report of an unattended child outside a home.

Authorities determined Liberatore was responsible for supervising the child at the time of the incident.

She was taken into custody without incident and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Covert Court on August 8 at 1:30 p.m.
