Moravia schools to merge middle, high into one

Moravia Central School District is consolidating its schools, moving from three to two buildings starting in the 2025-26 academic year, according to The Citizen. The middle and high schools, already housed together, will officially become Moravia Junior-Senior High School.

Elementary grades, including pre-K through sixth, will shift to Millard Fillmore Elementary. Sixth grade will now share space with fifth graders, marking a building change. New leadership appointments were also announced for both schools.

The district says this change addresses declining enrollment and aims to streamline curriculum delivery while making better use of staff and resources.
