Lyons woman charged in Dollar General theft

A Lyons woman was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly stealing merchandise from a Dollar General store in the town of Lyons.

Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Connie Cotturone, 35, of Canal Street, was charged with petit larceny following an investigation into the incident. Authorities allege that Cotturone and another woman took items valued at $120.50 and left the store without paying.

Cotturone was apprehended and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. She was later released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at a future date.

The name of the alleged accomplice has not been released.
