Emergency crews responded to a two-car crash with entrapment and multiple injuries Saturday afternoon in Palmyra, prompting a large mutual aid response and an airborne standby.
Palmyra Fire Department and East Palmyra Fire Department were dispatched at 12:44 p.m. to the intersection of Route 21 and Armington Road. Due to the severity of the crash, Mercy Flight was requested for air standby. Manchester Fire Department also responded to assist with additional tools and vehicle stabilization.
Car 3-1 arrived minutes later and reported one car on its side with victims trapped inside. All patients were extricated and turned over to EMS for further evaluation. Responding agencies included Finger Lakes Ambulance, Wayne County EMS, and multiple fire and police departments from Wayne and Ontario counties.
