The Denny’s on Eastern Boulevard in Canandaigua has closed suddenly, marking the second time the location has shut down, according to the Finger Lakes Times. Employees say they received little notice before Thursday’s closure.
The closure is part of a broader shutdown involving five regional Denny’s locations, including restaurants in Victor and Henrietta. Franchise owner Feast American Diners cited ongoing fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason behind the move, filing WARN notices statewide.
The Canandaigua location’s signage has been removed, and notices were placed on its doors. The closure comes on the heels of two nearby Rite Aid stores shuttering earlier this year, highlighting shifting business conditions in the area.
