Galen woman charged after vehicle theft in Lyons

Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Galen woman early Saturday morning after she allegedly entered private property and stole items from a vehicle.

Charlotte A. Furman, 53, of Route 414, is accused of taking a lottery ticket and change from inside a car in Lyons. The arrest occurred around 3 a.m. on June 22, according to the Sheriff’s Office.


Furman was charged with petit larceny and third-degree criminal trespass. She was processed and released on an appearance ticket.

She is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court on July 15 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charges.
