Deputies arrested a 23-year-old Hopewell man early Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted a person and threatened two people with a knife during a fight at The Cedar Lodge.
Antonio T. Balzano was charged with assault in the third degree and menacing in the second degree. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said Balzano fled the scene before deputies arrived but was located and arrested at 12:29 a.m.
According to investigators, deputies were dispatched at 12:02 a.m. to 4341 County Road 50 for a report of a fight. They determined that Balzano caused physical injury to one victim and threatened both individuals with a pocket knife during the altercation.
One of the victims was taken to Thompson Hospital for treatment. Balzano was transported to the Ontario County Jail and will be held until a later court date.
