Victor ZBA approves fence variances, sets next hearing on easement (video)

The Town of Victor Zoning Board of Appeals held its regular meeting on June 2, approving two area variances related to fencing and accessory structures at residential properties.

The board voted to approve a variance request for Champion Reserve Townhomes (application 20-Z-2024), permitting an existing 8-by-12-foot A-frame storage shed to remain in its current location. The structure is situated forward of the frontline of the primary townhome structure, which required an area variance under current zoning regulations.

The second approved application (09-Z-2025) came from property owners Allan and Herrgesell at 118 Fishers Road. The applicants sought an area variance to install a fence forward of the frontline of their home. After review and no noted objections, the board granted the variance, allowing the fence to be placed as requeste.

Board members also approved the minutes from the May 19 meeting before moving on to the scheduled public hearings. The meeting was livestreamed on the town’s YouTube channel, and members of the public were invited to comment via text or attend in person.

Upcoming Meeting

The next Zoning Board of Appeals meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Victor Town Hall. The board will conduct a public hearing on application 10-Z-2025 from Hoselton Enterprises, which is seeking an area variance to install fencing across a sanitary sewer easement at 7447 State Route 96.
