Clyde woman charged after disabling vehicle fuse

Deputies arrested a woman in Clyde on Thursday evening after she allegedly tampered with a vehicle and resisted arrest.

Kimberly S. Longley, 48, of Mill Street, was charged with criminal tampering in the third degree, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say she was in possession of a vehicle and removed a fuse, making it inoperable for the owner.

Deputy T. D’Amato conducted the investigation and reported that Longley resisted arrest after being told she was going to be taken into custody. The incident took place at 8:37 p.m. in Clyde.

Longley was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court on June 25 at 8:30 a.m.
