A truck driver was hospitalized after losing control and crashing a semi hauling a mobile home near Prattsburgh Central School, according to first responders.
The crash occurred Monday afternoon on State Route 53 when the truck’s brakes failed on a downhill slope. The driver jumped from the vehicle before it veered off the road, overturned, and brought down power lines. The mobile home split open, scattering debris across the roadway and nearby property.
The driver’s condition remains unknown, but no other injuries were reported. The road was closed for several hours for cleanup.
