A man was arrested Saturday morning after confronting officers during a road closure for the Right to Run 5k Race in Seneca Falls.
Justin J. Rogers, 40, of Seneca Falls, was taken into custody at 10:06 a.m. on May 10 after he exited his vehicle and challenged officers on Ovid Street about not being allowed to drive through the closed roadway, police said.
Authorities said Rogers was told the road was closed to protect runners. His actions caused unnecessary delays for officers assigned to ensure race safety.
Rogers was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Comply with a Lawful Order, both violations. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court.
