A unique wildlife education event featuring live animal presentations will be held at the Seneca Meadows Education Center on May 10, offering a hands-on look at the resilience of both animals and people.
The program, titled “Little Critters,” is presented by Bridges for Brain Injury (BFBI), a group supporting individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries. The event runs from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. and is free to the public, though advance registration is required.
During the session, BFBI participants—many of whom are part of a rehabilitative program—will introduce animals that have been injured, escaped, released, or rehabilitated. The goal is to educate attendees on the adaptations of these “little critters” while showcasing the healing power of animal care.
Hosted at 1977 NYS Route 414 in Waterloo, the event welcomes individuals, families, groups, and especially members of under-represented communities.
The program is sponsored by the Seneca Meadows Education Center, Montezuma Audubon Center, and Bridges for Brain Injury. Registration is available online at https://act.audubon.org/a/little-critters-51025-2.
