A longtime pink storefront in downtown Lyons is getting new life as The Mercantile at Newberry opens its doors Monday. The project comes from Craig Fraser, owner of Evolve for The Home, located just across the street.
The new shop blends retail with a cozy café serving locally brewed Imprint Coffee, pastries, and light meals. Fraser and his team hope to hire up to seven employees and offer a fresh experience that complements their existing store.
With two large shops now anchoring William Street, the team hopes to reestablish Lyons as a local shopping destination. Visitors are encouraged to browse, sip, and spend the day exploring downtown.
