Hobart lacrosse ended a five-game losing streak with a dominant 26-13 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday, fueled by a strong offensive effort on Senior Day. The Statesmen improved to 4-9 overall and 1-3 in Atlantic 10 play.

Senior Alex Rosa led the charge with six goals and an assist, while classmates Will Delano and John Jude Considine each tallied four goals and two assists. David Peterkin and Randall Brown also added to the scoring onslaught, with 16 different players notching at least one point.

Faceoff play was a major advantage for Hobart, with Cole Emmanuel and Mike Valent combining for 29 wins and 19 ground balls. Hobart also recorded season highs in points (44), assists (18), and shots (69), marking its best offensive showing since 1990.

After trading early goals, Hobart broke the game open with an eight-goal run in the second quarter to take a 14-6 halftime lead. St. Bonaventure’s Kellen Pulera and Jake Kucinski combined for 12 points, but their efforts couldn’t keep pace with the relentless Statesmen.

Box Score

Next, Hobart heads to UMass on April 25 with a playoff spot still within reach. A win would keep the Statesmen in contention for the A10 Tournament. Faceoff at Garber Field is set for 5 p.m.
