Newfield’s beloved Old Home Days celebration has been canceled for 2025 due to unavoidable scheduling conflicts, organizers announced this week.
Originally set for late July, the event was derailed when renovations at Newfield Central School District — the primary event venue — were rescheduled to overlap. A potential September date was also ruled out due to the school’s homecoming festivities. Organizers explored alternative sites but found none suitable for hosting the parade and festivities.
The committee now turns its attention to 2026, with Old Home Days tentatively rescheduled for July 24-25 and promises of a full return with familiar traditions and new surprises.
