A Wolcott man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving drunk and causing a three-car crash in the Town of Butler.

Alexander Rodriguez, 29, of New Hartford Street, was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following the April 11 crash on Whiskey Hill Road.

Deputies say Rodriguez was intoxicated and failed to yield the right of way while making a left-hand turn, leading to the collision. No details were provided about injuries.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Rodriguez’s blood alcohol content was measured at .19%, more than twice the legal limit. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated DWI, Unlicensed Operation, Operating Without Insurance, and Failure to Yield.

Rodriguez was processed at the Wayne County Jail and released with appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Butler Town Court at a later date.
