Gorham Town Board To Hold Public Hearing: Farm Market Moratorium

The Gorham Town Board will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Gorham Town Hall to hold a public hearing on a proposed local law enacting a temporary moratorium on farm markets.

Public Hearing: Local Law 1-2025

The board will open a public hearing on Local Law 1-2025, which proposes a moratorium on new or expanded farm market operations within the town. Details of the proposed law and public feedback will be addressed during the hearing.

Town Business and Reports

The board will review and approve reports from several departments, including the water and wastewater chief operator, highway superintendent, zoning officer, assessor, town clerk, tax collector, and town supervisor.

Under new business, the board will:

  • Consider the appointment of a Deputy Water/Wastewater Chief Operator
  • Vote to adopt a resolution acknowledging that the Annual Financial Report has been filed with the Town Clerk

Following these actions, the board will audit and approve payment of bills for the month.

An executive session is scheduled to discuss matters related to proposed, pending, or current litigation. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 7 p.m.
