The Geneva Town Council kicked off efforts to revise its 2015 comprehensive plan with a brainstorming session Monday, focusing on housing, economic development, climate, and agriculture, according to town officials.
Working with planning consultants, council members discussed managing projected moderate growth while addressing key challenges like limited sewer infrastructure, housing affordability, and rising living costs. They stressed the need for housing that supports both aging residents and young professionals.
The town’s assets—such as lakefront access, strong agriculture, and proximity to transportation—were also highlighted. Officials plan a public workshop soon to gather feedback and shape the plan’s next phase.
