Cornell women’s lacrosse dominated New Hampshire, picking up a 16-6 victory on Monday afternoon at Wildcat Field.
The Big Red wasted no time, scoring just 11 seconds into the game before rattling off 11 consecutive goals in the first half. The win improved Cornell’s record to 8-3, while New Hampshire fell to 2-9.
Dillyn Patten led the charge with three goals and an assist, setting the tone early. Cornell’s balanced offense saw 11 different players score, with seven recording multi-point games. Kylie Gelabert contributed a goal, two assists, and three caused turnovers, while Ellie Bergin secured six draw controls as the Big Red dominated possession, winning 16-of-24 draws. Defensively, Cornell forced nine turnovers on the ride, limiting UNH’s offensive opportunities. Lexie Tulley and Cameron Traveis also made key contributions across the field.
Despite the loss, UNH goalkeeper Ellie Thomas tallied 16 saves, while Allie Connerty and Makayla Keys each had a goal and an assist.
Next, Cornell returns home to face Ivy League rival Princeton on April 5 at Schoellkopf Field.
