Geneva man arrested for petit larceny in check fraud case

A Geneva man was arrested for petit larceny following an investigation into a fraudulent check deposit, according to the Waterloo Police Department.

Donald C. Christensen, 37, was taken into custody on March 11 at approximately 9:54 a.m. after authorities determined he had double-deposited a check at a local business in October. Police allege Christensen initially deposited the check online through mobile banking before cashing it in person on October 18. The check was later rejected, causing a financial loss of $571.59 to the business.
