UR Medicine Thompson Health has appointed Susan Bezek as its new director of Cardiopulmonary Services, the healthcare provider announced.
Bezek, a Naples resident, will oversee several key departments at F.F. Thompson Hospital, including Cardiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, and Clinical Nutrition.
A highly credentialed healthcare professional, Bezek holds a bachelor’s degree from Keuka College, a master’s as a nurse practitioner from the University of Rochester School of Nursing, and a doctorate in nursing education from Capella University. Before joining Thompson Health, she served as chair of the Division of Nursing at Keuka College, where she was also an associate professor and director of its bachelor’s and dual degree programs.
“Sue has a broad healthcare background in critical care, education and leadership,” said Hazel Robertshaw, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Thompson Health. “This mixture makes her an ideal fit for this position.”
