WNBA Draft 2025 set for April 14 at The Shed in New York City

The WNBA Draft 2025 presented by State Farm will take place on Monday, April 14, at The Shed in New York City, with Commissioner Cathy Engelbert announcing the selections live on ESPN. Exclusive coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET, following WNBA Countdown Presented by Google at 7 p.m. ET, both available on the ESPN App.

This marks the second consecutive year that the draft will feature a seated audience with fans in attendance. Tickets, along with exclusive WNBA Experiences presented by DashPass, go on sale through Ticketmaster on Friday, March 21, at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can register their interest at wnbaexperiences.com.

The Dallas Wings hold the first overall pick, followed by the Seattle Storm. The Washington Mystics will pick third and fourth, while the Golden State Valkyries, the league’s first expansion team in 17 years, will select fifth.

“At a time when the passion and excitement surrounding the WNBA has never been higher, we continue to focus on creating elevated events that WNBA fans won’t want to miss,” Engelbert said.

Draft festivities will kick off with invited prospects walking the WNBA’s signature “Orange Carpet” before heading to the Empire State Building for a lighting ceremony celebrating their journey to the league.

Leading up to the draft, fans can access exclusive content via WNBA social and digital platforms, including pre-draft coverage, live updates, and behind-the-scenes storytelling. WNBA.com will launch Draft Central later this month, providing team analysis, projected picks, and draft FAQs.

The 29th WNBA regular season officially tips off on Friday, May 16.
