North Rose man arrested for drug possession after traffic stop

Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a North Rose man early Saturday after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a controlled substance.

Kevin L. Wilson, 67, was taken into custody at 1:31 a.m. near the intersection of State Route 332 and Yerkes Road, according to authorities. During the stop, deputies allegedly found a controlled substance in Wilson’s pocket, leading to his arrest on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Wilson was later released with an appearance ticket for the drug charge. He also received uniform traffic tickets for multiple infractions, including operating an unregistered vehicle, driving with a suspended registration, having an obstructed license plate, and lacking a front plate.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Canandaigua Court at a later date.
