The Canandaigua Police Department has officially welcomed Officer Eric Perryman to its ranks. Perryman was sworn in on March 6 and is set to begin his police training at the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy on March 10.
A Canandaigua native, Perryman graduated from Finger Lakes Community College in 2024 with an associate degree in criminal justice. Prior to joining the department, he worked as a corrections officer with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Following his training at the academy, Perryman is expected to graduate this summer and begin serving the Canandaigua community in his new role. The department congratulated him on his appointment and wished him success in the academy.
