An Ontario County Jail inmate has been charged with second-degree assault after allegedly attacking another incarcerated individual.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Marcus K. St Denis, 29, was arrested on March 4 after an investigation revealed he repeatedly punched another inmate in the face and head, causing physical injury. Authorities say the assault was intentional.
St Denis, who remains in custody, is scheduled to answer to the charge in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
The incident was investigated by members of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division.
