A Livingston County contractor faces serious charges here in the Finger Lakes after an investigation into work that wasn’t finished.
Zachary Pruonto, 39, owner of Genesee Valley Exteriors, has been charged with third-degree grand larceny after allegedly taking $12,000 for a siding job he never completed. Authorities say the victim signed a contract in October 2024 but no work was ever done.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested Pruonto in Hunt on Tuesday. He was released on his own recognizance pending further legal proceedings.
Officials urge homeowners to verify contractor credentials before making large payments.
