Concerns over government waste persist, with 56% viewing it as inefficient. However, both parties agree on federal involvement in areas like disaster response and infrastructure, though Republicans show less support for roles in health care and environmental protection.
Despite ideological differences, bipartisan majorities oppose cutting Social Security benefits. Confidence in career government employees remains steady, but the partisan gap has widened, with Democrats expressing significantly more trust in federal workers than Republicans.
