The Hornell McDonald’s on Route 36 reopened Tuesday after closing for two days due to roof leaks caused by heavy snow and ice. A Rochester-based contractor completed repairs in a single day, allowing city officials to clear the restaurant for reopening.
Supervisor Tina Peaty emphasized the priority was ensuring employee and customer safety. She praised local officials for their swift response and cooperation.
With about 50 employees back to work, the restaurant has resumed normal hours, with the lobby open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the drive-thru operating until midnight.
