An Addison man faces multiple charges following a domestic incident on Sunday. Samuel K. Byler, 33, was arrested for criminal contempt, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and unlawful imprisonment, according to New York State Police.
Police responded to Byler’s Sprague Road home around 9 p.m. after he reported that the victim refused to leave. Upon arrival, officers found the victim inside and later determined that Byler had allegedly threatened them with a sawed-off shotgun and prevented them from leaving. A shotgun with an 18-inch barrel was recovered behind the home.
Byler was taken into custody, processed at the Painted Post barracks, and transported to Steuben County Jail for court proceedings on Feb. 17.
