Hornell resident Taylor Moran suffered a severe leg injury after slipping on ice Feb. 7. Stranded in the cold, she was rescued by DPW plow driver Aaron Clark, who stopped his truck, called 911, and stayed by her side until help arrived.

Clark provided Moran with a jacket, secured her belongings, and comforted her during the ordeal. She credits him with possibly saving her life, unsure how long she would have been stuck without his help. City officials praised Clark’s quick thinking and community spirit.

Moran faces extensive surgery and recovery but remains grateful for Clark’s selflessness. She hopes he receives the recognition he deserves for his kindness and swift action that morning.
