Victor Planning Board to hold public hearing on short-term rental and pole barn project

  • Staff Report

The Town of Victor Planning Board will meet on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Victor Town Hall, located at 85 East Main Street. Two applications are scheduled for public hearings, and residents are invited to attend in person or view the proceedings live on YouTube via a link available on the town’s website.

The first application involves a request from property owner Scott Winseman for a three-year renewal of a special use permit for a short-term rental located at 6562 Break of Day Road. The 1,600-square-foot, three-bedroom property operates as a rental with a primary residence also on-site. Winseman seeks approval to continue offering the property for short-term stays in the residentially zoned area.

The second application, submitted by James Mason, seeks approval to build a 2,200-square-foot pole barn at 250 Blazey Road. The structure will include a 1,200-square-foot ground floor, a 600-square-foot second floor, and a 400-square-foot lean-to. The pole barn is intended for personal use and will be located on Mason’s residentially zoned property.

Joseph Logan, Chairman of the Victor Planning Board, will oversee the hearing, which offers the public a chance to learn more about these projects and share their feedback.
