A Binghamton man was arrested on over the weekend after he unlawfully entered a residence in Seneca Falls and caused damage inside, police said.
Matthew E. Green, 26, was taken into custody by the Seneca Falls Police Department following an investigation into the incident. Authorities determined that Green had been involved in a dispute that led to him becoming angry. He then forcibly entered the home by kicking in the door.
Once inside, a juvenile victim, frightened by Green’s actions, hid while Green moved further into the residence, seemingly attempting to confront its occupants. During the incident, Green damaged a tenant’s television and a door, according to police.
Green was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a class E felony, along with three class A misdemeanors: criminal mischief in the fourth degree, criminal trespass in the second degree, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
