According to Auburn police, officers responded to the Cayuga Inn on February 8 after an anonymous report of a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.
The man, identified as Deion Thomas, 25, was found to have an active protective order barring contact with the woman. Although she denied any issues, Thomas was taken into custody for violating the order. Due to his previous domestic-related offenses, the charge was elevated to a felony.
Thomas was transported to the Cayuga County Jail, where he was arraigned and remains in custody.
