Lyons man faces weapon possession and other charges after Newark traffic stop

A Lyons man has been arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in the Village of Newark, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies took Morgan M. Case, 21, of Montezuma Street, into custody after discovering he was in possession of metal knuckles while also consuming an alcoholic beverage. Case was additionally cited for a seat belt violation.

Case was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, open container, and a seat belt infraction. He was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and released on an appearance ticket.

Case is scheduled to appear in the Village of Newark court on Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. to respond to the charges.
