Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is relocating its Greece store at 3654 Dewey Ave. to a larger space at The Mall at Greece Ridge, with a grand opening scheduled for Feb. 28. The new store, located at 140 Greece Ridge Center Drive in the former Ruby-Gordon retail space, will open at 9 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Goodwill leaders and community representatives. The first 100 shoppers will receive $10 gift cards as part of the celebration.
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes President & CEO Jennifer Lake expressed optimism about the move, emphasizing that the new site is designed to better accommodate both shoppers and donors. “There were several elements that made this location the right choice for us,” Lake noted, highlighting expanded retail space, improved donation drop-off points, and convenient access to public transportation and highways.
Operations to transition the Dewey Avenue location to the new store are already underway. Donations will be accepted at The Mall at Greece Ridge starting Feb. 5, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. The larger store—more than twice the size of the current space—features two entrances: one exterior ground-level entry and another connected to the interior of the mall near the Monroe County DMV.
The move brings added benefits for shoppers, including an expanded selection of merchandise, ample parking, and new capabilities to accept larger donations such as home furnishings through a dedicated garage access point. Customers will find a mix of apparel, household items, and seasonal goods, along with new merchandise in a layout designed for enhanced browsing.
Jay Wilmot, general manager of The Mall at Greece Ridge, welcomed the new addition to the mall. “Goodwill’s commitment to elevating individuals and strengthening the community aligns perfectly with our values at Greece Ridge,” Wilmot said. “Their presence will not only enhance our retail mix but also provide greater value to both our shoppers and the local community we serve.”
Store hours at the new location will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Proceeds from in-store purchases will continue to support Goodwill’s regional programs, including Goodwill Vision Enterprises, 211/LIFE LINE/988, and workforce development services.
