The Cayuga Museum in Auburn reopens for the 2025 season on Wednesday, Feb. 5, featuring fresh exhibits alongside beloved classics. New displays include “Making History,” which highlights Auburn’s industrial heritage, and “Silent Films on Cayuga Lake,” showcasing Ithaca’s Wharton Studio’s role in early American cinema.
Visitors can also view “Walter Long: Renaissance Man,” honoring the museum’s founding director, as well as long-term exhibits on Auburn Correctional Facility, 19th-century medicine, and the Willard-Case Mansion. Admission is $10 for non-members and free for members and children under 12.
The museum operates Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a free opening reception at 5 p.m. on Feb. 7.
