After hinting at it during the end of the regular season, Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde announced he is officially retiring from the NFL after 12 seasons.
The 34-year-old announced his decision on Instagram, expressing gratitude for his journey from Fostoria to Buffalo.
Hyde was a fifth-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2013 and spent four years there before signing with the Bills in 2017, where he earned a Pro Bowl selection that same season and secured second-team All-Pro honors in 2017 and 2021.
Hyde was a consistent force in the secondary, finishing his career with 644 tackles, 66 pass breakups, 24 interceptions, eight fumble recoveries, and five sacks over 158 regular-season games. In the postseason, he played in 17 games, starting 13, and added 69 tackles with two interceptions.
