The Jamieson Ritter Foundation celebrated what would have been Officer Jamieson Ritter’s 28th birthday with a benefit dinner in Waterloo on Saturday. The event, fully supported by community donations, raised funds for scholarships aiding students pursuing careers in public service.
Ritter, a Webster native and Syracuse University graduate, was killed in the line of duty as a Cleveland police officer on July 4. His father, Jon Ritter, emphasized the foundation’s mission to honor Jamieson’s legacy of kindness and service by inspiring future public servants.
Jamieson’s mother, Karen Ritter, expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming community support, which she said moved their family to tears.
