The Gatesinger Co. will stage the musical “Sugar” at Williamson Middle School on Feb. 7-8 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. Based on the 1959 film “Some Like It Hot,” the show follows two musicians, Joe and Jerry, who disguise themselves as women to flee Chicago mobsters after witnessing a crime.
The cast includes Cameron Liedmann, Astrid Holcomb, and Ellen Pollatta, with co-direction by Karen Skerrett Smith and Nan Hanna-Paquin. The pit orchestra features local musicians. Tickets are $15 in advance or $17 at the door.
