Jasmine Sanchez, founder of Daughter of a King Ministry 101, is organizing Cayuga County’s first Recovery Fest in June to support those battling addiction and trauma. Partnering with Auburn Alliance Church, the event will feature local services, testimonies, and support from groups like the sheriff’s department and counseling centers.
The ministry is fundraising to reach a $5,100 goal, having raised $2,100 through a pasta dinner. Additional fundraisers, including a chicken barbecue, are planned. Sanchez aims to use extra funds to create long-term recovery housing for those in need.
Starting March 1, she will lead in-person recovery sessions at the church every Saturday evening. Donations can be made through the Auburn Alliance Church website.
