A Bluff Point woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a workplace in Penn Yan.
Police say Jade Smith, 26, entered the victim’s workplace, stole the keys, and drove away with the victim’s vehicle. Officers located Smith shortly after and recovered the vehicle.
Smith was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and aggravated unlicensed operation. Additional charges are pending based on lab results of evidence found in the vehicle and in Smith’s possession.
She was processed and transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment.
