FLCC hosts online talk on malaria’s global history

Finger Lakes Community College will hold a virtual event on February 4 from 7-8 p.m. exploring the historical impact of mosquitoes and the battle against malaria. James Webb, a historian and author of Humanity’s Burden: A Global History of Malaria, will be the featured speaker.

Participants can join via video link or watch live on Finger Lakes Television, Roku, and FLCC’s YouTube channel. Webb, an expert in historical epidemiology, has received prestigious grants and fellowships for his research on global health history.

The talk is part of FLCC’s History, Culture, and Diversity Series, organized by history professor Robert Brown.
