Ithaca’s Firehouse Subs at 740 South Meadow Street has permanently closed, as confirmed by a sign on the restaurant’s door. Customers and delivery drivers were caught off guard by the sudden closure while trying to pick up orders.
The franchise, known for its firefighter-themed decor and donations to local emergency responders, has also shuttered other Southern Tier locations.
Nearby locations remain open in the Syracuse and Rochester areas.
