A Geneva man was arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly stealing items from the Aldi supermarket in Lyons, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Joseph M. Gonzalez, 26, entered the store, concealed merchandise in his jacket, and left without paying. Store employees reported the incident, and Gonzalez was located shortly afterward.
Gonzalez was charged with petit larceny and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
