The Buffalo Bills came within one win of their first Super Bowl appearance in 31 years but fell short once again, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 32-29 in the AFC Championship on Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
With two minutes left and trailing by three, the Bills faced a pivotal fourth-and-five near midfield. Under heavy pressure, Josh Allen launched a deep pass to Dalton Kincaid, but the ball slipped through Kincaid’s hands, falling incomplete. The Chiefs then closed out the game by picking up two crucial first downs, handing Buffalo their fourth postseason loss to Kansas City in the last five years.
Allen completed 22-of-34 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns, including a clutch game-tying strike to Curtis Samuel with 6:15 left in regulation. James Cook led the ground attack with 85 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, while Mack Hollins paced the receiving corps with 73 yards and a touchdown.
