State Farm pulls Super Bowl ad to aid wildfire response

State Farm has canceled its planned Super Bowl ad, citing its focus on supporting Californians affected by ongoing wildfires.

The company, serving over 8 million customers in the state, is prioritizing claims assistance, having processed over 8,300 wildfire-related claims totaling more than $50 million.

This decision follows State Farm’s 2023 halt on new property insurance policies in California due to rising costs and catastrophe risks.

Other insurers have similarly scaled back coverage in the state amid escalating reconstruction expenses.
